Disclaimer & Risk Disclosure

1. Regulatory status
PropStax is operated as an independent analytics service. PropStax is not registered with, regulated by, or affiliated with any of the following:
- The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)
- The National Futures Association (NFA)
- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
- The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)
- Any state securities or commodities regulator
PropStax is not a futures commission merchant (FCM), introducing broker (IB), commodity trading advisor (CTA), commodity pool operator (CPO), broker-dealer, registered investment adviser (RIA), or any other category of registered financial intermediary. PropStax does not solicit orders, manage funds, or trade on your behalf.
2. No financial advice
Nothing in the PropStax product, on this website, in any email, or in any communication from PropStax constitutes — or should be construed as — investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument, a solicitation, an offer, a guarantee, or a representation of any kind regarding the suitability of any trading strategy. All content is provided for informational purposes only.
You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions. Conduct your own research and consult with a qualified, licensed financial professional before making any decision that involves real capital.
3. Risk of trading futures
Trading commodity futures and other derivative products involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. Leverage can work against you as well as for you, and you may lose all or more than your initial deposit. Before deciding to trade futures, carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite.
The high degree of leverage that is often obtainable in futures trading can work against you as well as for you. The use of leverage can lead to large losses as well as gains.
4. Past performance is not indicative of future results
The figures shown in PropStax — balances, drawdowns, profit-and-loss, payouts, profitability, win rates, profit factor, expectancy — describe what already happened on your connected accounts. Past performance, whether shown in your own account history or in any example, demo, or marketing material, is not indicative of, a guarantee of, or a reliable predictor of future results.
5. Hypothetical and simulated performance
Screenshots, demo dashboards, mock data, and illustrative figures shown on this website and in marketing material are for product-illustration purposes only. They do not represent the trading results of any real PropStax user. Per CFTC Rule 4.41, the following disclosure applies to any hypothetical or simulated performance result:
HYPOTHETICAL OR SIMULATED PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE CERTAIN INHERENT LIMITATIONS. UNLIKE AN ACTUAL PERFORMANCE RECORD, SIMULATED RESULTS DO NOT REPRESENT ACTUAL TRADING. ALSO, SINCE THE TRADES HAVE NOT ACTUALLY BEEN EXECUTED, THE RESULTS MAY HAVE UNDER- OR OVER-COMPENSATED FOR THE IMPACT, IF ANY, OF CERTAIN MARKET FACTORS, SUCH AS LACK OF LIQUIDITY. SIMULATED TRADING PROGRAMS IN GENERAL ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DESIGNED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFITS OR LOSSES SIMILAR TO THOSE SHOWN.
6. Prop-firm and Sim-Funded accounts
The prop-firm accounts that PropStax tracks (evaluation and Sim-Funded) generally do not trade live capital on regulated exchanges. Many prop firms operate simulated or demo-funded environments in which payouts are paid out of the firm's own balance sheet rather than from market profits. Sim-Funded trading does not produce real exchange executions and therefore does not carry the same market-risk profile as a live live-market futures account; the risk is to the eval-purchase fees, reset fees, and other costs you pay to the prop firm, plus the cost of your time.
Live prop-firm accounts that route real orders to a regulated exchange carry full futures-market risk as described in Section 3 above. PropStax does not currently support live prop-firm accounts.
7. No execution, no funds custody
PropStax does not place orders, modify positions, transfer funds, or take custody of any money. Read-only broker access is the most PropStax ever requests, and the product has no technical capability to act on your accounts.
8. Accuracy of data
PropStax pulls data directly from each connected broker's data feed and applies per-firm drawdown rules where the broker exposes them. PropStax makes reasonable efforts to keep the rule set current, but broker rules change without notice and software bugs occur. Always cross-check critical figures (your liquidation buffer, your profit-target progress, your payout amounts) against your broker's official numbers before making a trading decision. PropStax provides no warranty, express or implied, that the figures shown will be accurate, complete, or current at any given moment.
9. Prop-firm relationships
PropStax is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the prop firms it supports. Firm names and logos appear on this site solely to identify which firms' data feeds the product can connect to. Each prop firm sets its own rules, fees, payout schedules, and account terms; PropStax reflects them as accurately as it can but does not set or enforce them, and bears no responsibility for any prop firm's conduct toward you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PropStax and its operators, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, eval-purchase costs, missed payouts, or trading losses — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the PropStax product, regardless of the legal theory.
Use of PropStax is at your own risk and based entirely on your own judgment. Your relationship with each prop firm is governed by your agreement with that firm; your trading decisions and outcomes are your own.
11. Jurisdiction
PropStax is operated from the United States. Nothing on this site or in the product is directed at, or intended for use by, any person or entity in any jurisdiction where such distribution or use would be contrary to local law or regulation. If you are accessing PropStax from outside the United States, you are responsible for complying with the laws and regulations of your own jurisdiction.
